For overseas readers planning to visit GREEN×EXPO 2027 (Yokohama Flower Expo).
This page covers everything from flight options out of major cities in Asia, Europe, North America, and the Middle East, to how you actually get from the airport to the expo venue once you land in Japan.
GREEN×EXPO 2027: Basic Information
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Official Name | International Horticultural Exhibition 2027 (GREEN×EXPO 2027) |
| Dates | March 19 (Fri) – September 26 (Sun), 2027 |
| Venue | Former Kamiseya Communications Site (Seya Ward / Asahi Ward, Yokohama) |
| Nearest Major Airports | Tokyo International Airport (Haneda / HND), Narita International Airport (NRT) |
From the Airport to the Venue
The GREEN×EXPO 2027 venue sits in a residential area of western Yokohama, and there is no train that takes you directly from the airport to the venue. Whether you fly into Haneda or Narita, the standard route is to head to Yokohama Station first and transfer to the Sotetsu Line.
From four stations near the venue (Seya, Mitsukyo, Tokaichiba, and Minamimachida Grandberry Park), shuttle buses are planned to run to the venue itself. The shuttle bus is likely to require an advance reservation, so check the official site for the latest details before you go.
From Haneda Airport (HND)
Multiple limousine buses run from Haneda to Yokohama Station. From there, transfer to the Sotetsu Line and head to Seya or Mitsukyo Station, then catch the shuttle bus to the venue. The Haneda–Yokohama limousine bus takes around 40 minutes; allow 1.5–2 hours total from airport to venue.
Direct buses from both airports to the venue are also being considered — details to be announced.
From Narita Airport (NRT)
Limousine buses run between Narita and Yokohama Station (YCAT). Once you reach Yokohama, the route from there is the same as the Haneda route via the Sotetsu Line. Plan for 2–2.5 hours total from Narita to the venue.
A note from someone who commuted to the Osaka Expo: at the Osaka Expo, shuttle bus congestion late in the run was genuinely awful. Build buffer time into your transfers and head out early.

A Comfortable Flight: Why Qatar Airways Is Worth Considering
Long-haul flights are part of the deal when travelling to GREEN×EXPO 2027 from overseas. You may as well enjoy the time in the air while you're at it.
Qatar Airways is one of the strongest options here.
The carrier is known for high comfort levels even in economy class, with generous legroom and well-cushioned seats designed to reduce fatigue on long-haul routes. Business and First Class offer private-feeling cabins, proper meals, and a strong in-flight entertainment system — the kind of airline that makes you think, "if I'm going all this way, maybe I'll splurge on the upgrade."
Doha's Hamad International Airport, the hub for Qatar Airways, is also designed with traveller comfort in mind, which makes long-haul connections noticeably less stressful. From Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and South America, routing through Doha on Qatar Airways is particularly convenient.
Qatar Airways serves over 160 cities worldwide, making it a reliable choice for international travellers.
