EXPO2025 Official Cafe Lapoppo at LINKS UMEDA — Complete Guide / Myaku-Myaku Sweets, Reservations, Pricing & Access (April 27 – October 31, 2026)

AfterEXPO2025

"I want to see Myaku-Myaku again." If you walked the Osaka/Kansai Expo grounds, you've thought this at least once.

On April 27, 2026, a place that partially grants that wish opened in Umeda, Osaka.

The "EXPO2025 Official Cafe Lapoppo Links Umeda Branch" is a six-month limited-edition official expo cafe (running through October 31), located on the first floor of the LINKS UMEDA shopping complex.

The cafe is operated by Lapoppo Farm (run by Shirohato Foods), the sweet potato sweets specialist behind Myaku-Myaku Yaki — which sold a cumulative 2.6 million units at the Osaka Expo. You can enjoy menus that were popular at the expo grounds, alongside new items exclusive to this location.

I'm planning to visit on May 14. This guide covers what's worth knowing before you go, based on the official press release and on-site coverage from Lmaga.jp.

After a successful 4-day pop-up at "KITTE Osaka" in February 2026, the team scaled up to this 6-month long-term run.

Menu #1: Dine-in (Reservation Only, ~¥4,950)

The dine-in menu is delightfully simple: two plate options, both ¥4,950.

A: Myaku-Myaku Imo Burger Plate (¥4,950)

A plate centred on a sweet potato burger styled after Myaku-Myaku.

B: Myaku-Myaku Imo Sweets Plate (¥4,950)

A more elaborate dessert-forward plate. According to Lmaga.jp's coverage, the plate works out to roughly the following individual prices:

  • EXPO2025 Bun (¥843)
  • Myaku-Myaku Mini Soft Serve (full-size single: ¥1,188)
  • Choice of drink (¥756–¥1,100)
  • Myaku-Myaku Mug (other items in the ¥1,600–¥1,700 range)
  • Potato apple pie sandwich, candied sweet potato, Myaku-Myaku coaster, secret limited goods

The "Three Souvenirs Included" Value Argument

Both plates come with a mug, sticker, and a limited goods item (which rotates over time) that you can take home. The placemat and plastic cup are also yours to keep.

Considering a Myaku-Myaku mug at the expo grounds cost close to ¥2,000, viewing the plate as "souvenirs + meal" makes the price feel reasonable. In fact, a woman in her 50s told Lmaga.jp: "There's plenty of food and you get a mug — I think it's just about the right price."

For anyone trained in expo-grounds pricing, ¥4,950 might land softer than expected.

Menu #2: Takeout (No Reservation, ¥735–¥1,383)

Product Price
Myaku-Myaku Potato Apple Pie ¥735
Myaku-Myaku Cheesecake ¥843
EXPO2025 Bun (4-pack) ¥843
Myaku-Myaku Bubbly Soda ¥972
Myaku-Myaku Yaki ¥1,383
Mocchiri Myaku-Myaku Yaki ¥1,383

The expo-favourite Myaku-Myaku Yaki will rotate through different colours by season — collecting variants over the 6-month run could be its own quiet hobby.

Takeout doesn't require a reservation, but certain items have daily quantity limits, so go early if you're after a specific product.

Reservations (Dine-in)

Dine-in is fully prepaid and requires a reservation in advance.
